It is quite scary to witness the media, politicians, and ordinary citizens talk of treason, imprisonment, and even assassination of Wikileaks founder Julian Assange. Assange is simply giving the American citizens the information that their government officials will not, he is providing us with the truth. Since when did telling the truth become treason (by the way, Assange is Australian)? Saying we should kill Assange for being a good journalist, like the supposedly christian Mike Huckabee, and former speaker Newt Gingrich have called for, is a terrifying social commentary on the state of the American mind. When did Americans become loyalists and cease to be Patriots?
